Compare clean-air delivery, not the biggest room headline

CADR describes particle cleaning and is generally measured at the highest fan speed. A once-per-hour headline area is much larger than an area served at 4.8 air changes per hour. Match the purifier to the room, ceiling height and fan speed you can live with. Carbon media does not guarantee removal of every gas, and a purifier will not fix a moisture or mold source. Keep pollutant sources under control and ventilate with clean outdoor air where appropriate. Budget for genuine compatible replacement filters and follow the supplied manual. No hands-on performance or medical benefit is claimed here.

How should I compare air-purifier room sizes?

Compare coverage figures that use the same air-changes-per-hour basis, alongside particle CADR. A once-per-hour headline is not equivalent to a rating for more frequent cleaning. For the Vital 200S-P, check the stated room rating and fan conditions rather than choosing from the largest number alone.

No. The Vital 200S-P has a washable prefilter and a separate main filter. Plan for the exact replacement part and follow the manual for each layer; a washable prefilter is not a promise that the whole filter assembly can be washed.

The Mighty2 places the prefilter on a side-slide rail and shows particle-size readings on its display. Consider it if easier access for routine cleaning matters more than controlling the purifier from an app. It is a different filter platform from the older AP-1512HH.
