Ski gloves.

Five insulated, non-heated, five-finger gloves for cold ski days, with different approaches to wet weather, drying and jacket cuffs. These adult reference models prioritize warmth; check the brand’s hand measurements and your jacket’s cuff fit. Manufacturer warmth scales are not comparable temperature guarantees.

SWANY

Check Amazon for the current price of the Men’s X-Cell five-finger ski gloves, Medium, Charcoal Gray; check hand sizing and color before purchase.

A starting point for skiers prioritizing an insulated leather glove with a long cuff. Swany pairs its Triplex Alpha insulation, using PrimaLoft Cross Core, with a Dryfinger II waterproof/breathable insert. The black reference shown is SX-1M001; measure your hand against Swany’s men’s chart.

  • Triplex Alpha insulation with PrimaLoft Cross Core
  • Dryfinger II insert · full-leather gauntlet
  • Quick-release wrist strap and leash
The tradeoff

Full leather and a gauntlet may suit a different jacket setup from Rab’s short cuff. Swany’s warmth level and temperature range are manufacturer claims; we have not validated them or compared warmth against the other four.

HESTRA

Research pick
HESTRA Army Leather GORE-TEX · 5 fingerPhoto: Hestra
Cost to compareCheck current price

Check Amazon for the current price of the Army Leather GORE-TEX adult five-finger glove, Black/Black size9 listing; choose correct fit, not mitten or non-GORE-TEX Heli Ski.

Choose this Hestra comparison when wet-weather protection matters more than having the Heli Ski’s removable liner. Model 3003020 combines a GORE-TEX membrane, G-Loft synthetic insulation and Bemberg fleece with goatskin and recycled polyamide. The pictured Black & Black variant is 3003020-100100.

  • GORE-TEX membrane and G-Loft insulation
  • High cuff with snowlock and wrist leashes
  • Pre-curved five-finger construction
The tradeoff

Do not confuse it with the non-membrane Heli Ski below. This exact product page does not list a removable liner; do not buy it assuming you can pull the insulation out for drying. Hestra’s warmth scale is its own assessment.

At Reusch Winter US ↗

A different insulation route from the synthetic-filled choices here. Reusch combines natural down, a GORE-TEX insert, softshell and a goatskin palm. Its backhand pocket can hold a heat pack. The pictured Asphalt variant is 6101355-6667; this is the five-finger glove, not the similarly named mitten.

  • Natural down insulation and GORE-TEX insert
  • Softshell construction with goatskin palm
  • Backhand heating pocket; heat pack not claimed included
The tradeoff

The US page’s default Black/Silver size can show sold out while other variants remain available. Confirm your exact size and color. Reusch advises room-temperature drying away from direct heat; its warmth language is not our measured result.

HESTRA

Army Leather Heli Ski · 5 finger

A removable liner for a drier-weather setup

Research pick
HESTRA Army Leather Heli Ski · 5 fingerPhoto: Hestra
Cost to compareCheck current price

Check Amazon for the current price of the Adult Army Leather Heli Ski5-finger glove, Black size11 listing with removable liner; choose correct size, not Jr,3-finger,mitten or GORE-TEX model.

Check Amazon price ↗Affiliate link · We may earn a commission.

The reason to compare this with Hestra’s GORE-TEX model is the removable liner: it can be taken out or replaced when damp. Model 30570 uses G-Loft insulation, Bemberg fleece, goat leather and a Triton polyamide backhand. A long snowlock cuff and wrist leashes complete the ski-focused design.

  • Removable G-Loft-insulated liner
  • Goat-leather palm · long snowlock cuff
  • 30570-100 shown in Black with white palm
The tradeoff

No waterproof membrane: Hestra explicitly rates this model as not waterproof. Its weather-resistant fabric does not make it the same wet-snow choice as the GORE-TEX version. Choose it for liner access rather than assuming both models provide identical protection.

RAB

Guide GORE-TEX Gloves · QAJ-47

An insulated short cuff for an under-sleeve setup

Research pick
RAB Guide GORE-TEX Gloves · QAJ-47Photo: Rab
Cost to compareCheck current price

This price observation needs a refresh. Confirm the exact package at the seller.

At Rab US ↗

A shorter-cuff alternative for skiers who want to compare how the glove sits beneath their jacket sleeve. Current QAJ-47 uses GORE-TEX Active technology with an ePE membrane, 100 gsm PrimaLoft Gold insulation and high-pile lining on the back of the hand. Goat-leather palms and fingers support its mountain-use design.

  • 100 gsm PrimaLoft Gold and high-pile backhand lining
  • GORE-TEX Active ePE membrane
  • Adjustable short cuff · Black/Tan reference
The tradeoff

A short cuff provides less over-sleeve coverage than the gauntlets here, so try it with your jacket. Rab lists skiing among its uses, but does not provide a comparable temperature threshold; this is an insulated alternative, not a claim that it matches the warmest gauntlet.
