Dated seller observations, not live quotes. Prices can change; tax and delivery are extra. Match the exact package shown below.

Start with the room

Measure the viewing distance, furniture and screen clearance before buying. Check your streaming apps, HDR sources, soundbar connection and gaming hardware. Advertised maximum refresh rates require compatible inputs and settings. Other sizes in a series can have different panels or features. A working existing TV may already serve you well.

A versatile OLED starting point when self-lit pixels and Dolby Vision matter. The C6 pairs LG’s 2026 processor with webOS and gaming features; choose the 65-inch US model rather than transferring specifications between sizes.

  • 65-inch 4K OLED; Dolby Vision
  • Up to 165Hz with a compatible gaming source
  • webOS; NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync support
The tradeoff

High refresh rates require compatible hardware and settings. Consider your room lighting and static-content habits before choosing OLED; we have not measured brightness, motion or image retention.

This 65-inch Google TV offers Mini LED local dimming and a 144Hz panel. It is the step-up TCL option here for shoppers comparing an LCD television with OLED, with different lighting behavior and no claim of an identical picture.

  • 65-inch 4K QD-Mini LED LCD
  • 144Hz panel; VRR up to 144Hz
  • Google TV; Dolby Vision and HDR10+
The tradeoff

TCL’s headline brightness and dimming-zone maxima cover the series and must not be assumed for this size. Compare the actual 65-inch picture and seating angles; these specifications are not our performance measurements.

Sony’s 65-inch BRAVIA 5 combines Mini LED local dimming, the XR processor and Google TV. Its stand has inside and soundbar positions, useful when furniture width or space below the screen constrains the installation.

  • 65-inch 4K Mini LED LCD
  • 4K/120Hz, VRR and ALLM support
  • 300 × 300mm VESA; 54.9 lb without stand
The tradeoff

Stand clearance and cable routing still need measuring. A wall mount is separate. Sony’s processing claims do not prove that it beats the other picks; we have not performed a comparison test.

SAMSUNG

An OLED alternative for HDR10+ and Tizen

Check Amazon for the current price of the New 65-inch OLED S90F TV, QN65S90FAFXZA; standalone television, not added protection or HDMI bundle.

Check Amazon price ↗Affiliate link · We may earn a commission.

The US 65-inch S90F is a second OLED approach, combining Samsung’s Tizen interface, HDR10+ and variable-refresh gaming support. Keep the complete QN65S90FAFXZA suffix when comparing offers; other sizes and regional versions can differ.

  • 65-inch 4K OLED
  • 120Hz; up to 144Hz with compatible input
  • HDR10+ Adaptive/Gaming; Tizen smart platform
The tradeoff

Samsung’s direct page showed out of stock when checked. A US retailer listing exists, but delivery and exact suffix need confirmation. Do not assume this television supports every HDR format used by your sources.

TCL

65QM6K · 65-inch (2025)

A simpler Mini LED alternative

Research pick

Check Amazon for the current price of the New 65-inch QM6K Series Google TV, model65QM6K; not QM7L, QM64L, another size or added warranty bundle.

Check Amazon price ↗Affiliate link · We may earn a commission.

The QM6K keeps a 144Hz 4K panel, Mini LED local dimming and Google TV in TCL’s lower series. It is worth comparing before paying for a step-up television when your main needs are streaming and compatible console or PC gaming.

  • 65-inch 4K QD-Mini LED LCD
  • 144Hz panel and VRR up to 144Hz
  • 300 × 300mm VESA; four HDMI ports
The tradeoff

The QM6K is not a QM7K with a different name; backlight and other features differ. TCL’s series-wide “up to” dimming claims do not establish the number for this size or measured picture quality.
