Dated seller observations, not live quotes. Prices can change; tax and delivery are extra. Match the exact package shown below.

Do you need a blower at all?

A rake or your existing mulching mower may be enough for a thin, dry layer of lawn leaves; leave appropriate leaf habitat in beds. CFM is air volume, MPH is air speed and newtons measure force—one headline number cannot rank real clearing performance. Read the exact manual, use required eye and hearing protection, keep people and pets away, and check local equipment and noise restrictions. Never run a gas blower indoors.

The LB7654 includes one 56V 5.0Ah battery and a 320W charger. Its variable-speed dial and boost button let a homeowner adjust output instead of running at maximum throughout the job. It is a useful starting point if you also use EGO yard tools.

  • Up to 765 CFM at the nozzle; variable dial 260–580 CFM
  • One 5.0Ah battery and 320W charger included
  • 4.6 lb without battery; manual rates 26 N maximum force
The tradeoff

EGO quotes about 15 minutes in boost with a 5.0Ah battery. Its page claims 200 MPH with the tapered nozzle while the linked manual lists 195; these are manufacturer figures. EGO marks configurations Coming Soon, but Cutler’s listed this exact 5.0Ah/320W kit for sale on October 23. Confirm stock and delivery for your address.

Cost to compareCheck current price

This price observation needs a refresh. Confirm the exact package at the seller.

At Arco Lawn Equipment / Affton Lawn Equipment ↗

The UltraPlus combines a blower, leaf vacuum and shredder. Its included collection bag, metal impeller and oscillating nozzle offer a different approach from simply moving leaves into a pile. A corded setup can avoid buying batteries when a suitable outdoor outlet is close.

  • 340 CFM in blower mode; 405 CFM is vacuum mode
  • Up to 260 MPH; variable speed and oscillating nozzle
  • Manufacturer lists 13 lb; vacuum bag and conversion parts included
The tradeoff

An outdoor-rated extension cord is separate and limits reach; follow the manual’s wire-gauge and water precautions. Toro does not define its 13 lb weight configuration. Toro has no direct online supply, but Arco/Affton listed 51621 for shipping on October 23 with limited stock; confirm delivery before buying.

This kit pairs the DCBL724 blower with one DCB208 8Ah battery and a DCB1102 2A charger. A variable trigger, trigger lock and two nozzles support everyday leaf and clipping cleanup. It makes particular sense when the battery can serve other compatible DEWALT tools.

  • Manufacturer maximum: 550 CFM and 133 MPH
  • One DCB208 8Ah battery and DCB1102 2A charger
  • Concentrator and sweeper nozzles included
The tradeoff

DEWALT’s page text quotes up to 17 minutes per charge at full speed using the DCB208 battery, while its graphic still says 16 minutes. These are manufacturer estimates, not our measured runtime. Plan around that limit and the supplied 2A charger rather than assuming all-day use. Its 13.23 lb assembled-product listing does not clearly define battery/accessory weight; do not compare it with bare-tool weights.

ECHO

PB-2520 · handheld gas

Refueling rather than recharging

Research pick
ECHO PB-2520 · handheld gasPhoto: ECHO
Cost to compareCheck current price

This price observation needs a refresh. Confirm the exact package at the seller.

At ECHO ↗

The PB-2520 is a 25.4 cc two-stroke handheld blower with cruise control and a curved tube. It is the gas option for a homeowner who prefers to refuel between sessions and accepts engine maintenance. Its lower dry weight is useful context beside the backpack option.

  • 453 CFM, 170 MPH and 15.8 N at the nozzle
  • 8.6 lb dry with pipes; 7.9 lb dry without pipes
  • Requires manufacturer-specified 50:1 gasoline/oil mix
The tradeoff

Fuel adds working weight. Gas brings exhaust, mixing and maintenance; a shoulder strap is sold separately. Check local gas-blower rules and permitted operating times before choosing it. CFM and MPH describe different things and do not establish a clearing-speed ranking.

ECHO

PB-580T · backpack gas

Repeated larger cleanup with a backpack harness

Research pick
ECHO PB-580T · backpack gasPhoto: ECHO
Cost to compareCheck current price

This price observation needs a refresh. Confirm the exact package at the seller.

At ECHO ↗

The PB-580T uses a 58.2 cc two-stroke engine, padded backrest and shoulder straps, plus a tube-mounted throttle with cruise control. The harness carries the engine on your back rather than in one hand. It suits a homeowner who has enough recurring work to justify the heavier setup.

  • 517 CFM, 216 MPH and 22 N at the nozzle
  • Tube throttle, padded harness and vented back pad
  • Product page: 22.7 lb dry; support: 20.5 lb without pipes
The tradeoff

This is a substantial load before fuel, and fitting or lifting a backpack may be awkward. It requires 50:1 mixed fuel and routine engine care. Gas restrictions may rule it out locally; it is unnecessary for a quick patio sweep.
