Dated seller observations, not live quotes. Prices can change; tax and delivery are extra. Match the exact package shown below.

Fit the ski and the whole setup

Choose classic skis using the exact model’s weight and flex guidance, not a generic height chart or the merchant’s default length. A Nordic shop should check the ski, plate, binding and your actual boot together. Standard NNN, TURNAMIC and Prolink touring soles differ from NNN BC and older SNS systems. Boots and poles add to the complete cost. Waxless kick zones still need appropriate care; follow the maker’s skin and glide-zone instructions. Renting and taking a lesson can be a better first step.

Check Amazon for the current price of the 175 cm, Tour Step-in binding package.

Check Amazon price ↗Affiliate link · We may earn a commission.

The Evo XT 60 combines a 60 mm tip with a shorter-size touring shape and a patterned kick zone. It is a candidate for readers prioritizing a stable, manageable classic setup over a race-oriented ski. The linked 175 cm offer includes Tour Step-in bindings; choose a fitted length rather than treating that default as a recommendation for everyone.

  • 60/50/55 mm tip/waist/tail
  • Positrack patterned kick zone
  • Linked package includes Tour Step-in bindings
The tradeoff

Cross Country Skier’s historical 2024 guide reported strong stability but tester reservations about glide, noise and vibration. That is attributed evidence for the tested model, not Top5It testing or a current five-ski speed comparison. Match the ski to your weight and terrain; boots and poles are additional.

FISCHER

Cruiser EF + Control Step-in

Short-format classic skiing primarily in groomed tracks

Research pick

Cost to compareCheck current price

Check Amazon for the current price of the Small / Sand, Control Step-in binding package.

Check Amazon price ↗Affiliate link · We may earn a commission.

The Cruiser EF offers a compact touring format with a Vario Crown patterned base and an Air Channel Basalite core. Its narrow 50/46/48 mm shape favors a track-oriented decision rather than broad off-track equipment. The inspected Small/Sand package includes Control Step-in bindings.

  • 50/46/48 mm tip/waist/tail
  • Vario Crown patterned kick zone
  • Control Step-in IFP binding package
The tradeoff

Fischer’s S/M/L/XL sizing must be matched using the exact model’s recommendations; a letter size is not a universal Nordic fit standard. Choose a different terrain class if off-track conditions are your priority. Manufacturer claims about easier kick have not been independently measured by Top5It.

ROSSIGNOL

Evo XC 60 R-Skin + Control Step-in

A wider classic touring platform with a skin grip zone

Research pick

Check Amazon for the current price of the 2026 model listing, 175 cm, Blue, Control Step-in binding package.

Check Amazon price ↗Affiliate link · We may earn a commission.

The Evo XC 60 keeps a 60/50/55 mm touring shape but replaces a patterned kick zone with a replaceable mohair insert. Consider it when you want to compare skin-based grip with the XT 60’s pattern. The inspected 2026 listing is Blue, 175 cm, with Control Step-in bindings.

  • 60/50/55 mm tip/waist/tail
  • Replaceable R-Skin mohair insert
  • Inspected 175 cm/Control Step-in package
The tradeoff

Skin condition and appropriate care affect the ownership decision; waxless does not mean maintenance-free. Do not apply an ordinary ski-wax routine to the skin zone. The manufacturer also lists skis without bindings, so confirm that the offer still includes the advertised package.

FISCHER

Twin Skin Aeroguide 95 EF Set

A narrower skin ski for track-focused recreation and fitness

Research pick

Cost to compareCheck current price

Check Amazon for the current price of the 184cm,Medium Hardness,Black.

Check Amazon price ↗Affiliate link · We may earn a commission.

This classic model pairs a 46/44/48 mm shape with Twin Skin mohair strips and an Air Core Basalite Pro core. It is the narrower track-focused option in this comparison. The inspected 184 cm Medium Hardness offer includes Control Step-in IFP bindings; choose length and flex through a proper weight-based fit.

  • 46/44/48 mm tip/waist/tail
  • Twin Skin mohair grip strips
  • Inspected 184 cm Medium / Control Step-in IFP set
The tradeoff

Choosing a flex or length because it is the available default can undermine the fit. The linked selection is 184 cm Medium, not the Stiff version; confirm the included binding and applicable weight range. The 95 in the model name is not its ski width.

Check Amazon for the current price of the 175cm.

This older RHJWC01 package adds a wider-tip alternative to the narrower track skis here. SkiEssentials lists the exact SKU with a mohair grip insert and Control Step-in bindings. The inspected Amazon offer is 175 cm; have its length and flex fitted to your weight before choosing it.

  • 65 mm tip; recreational classic layout
  • Mohair R-Skin grip zone
  • Inspected 175 cm / Control Step-in package
The tradeoff

This is an older package, not the current RHMZD01 generation. Do not treat its default length as a universal fit or assume new-model specifications apply. Check the ski and skin condition, included bindings and seller terms; a Nordic shop should confirm boot compatibility. It is not a metal-edge backcountry recommendation.
