Dated seller observations, not live quotes. Prices can change; tax and delivery are extra. Match the exact package shown below.

Check the filter before changing jobs

Follow the exact model’s manual when switching between dry debris and liquids. Tank gallons are not usable water-pickup capacity, and peak horsepower is not continuous operating power or our measured suction. Never vacuum flammable liquids, hot ash or hazardous material. A HEPA filter label alone does not make every dust-collection setup appropriate. If a broom or your existing vacuum handles the job safely, another machine may be unnecessary.

A wheeled corded vacuum with a broad locking hose, drain and readily identified filter range. The 12-gallon figure describes drum volume, not usable liquid pickup.

  • 120V corded; 15-foot power cord
  • 2-1/2-inch × 7-foot hose
  • VF4000 general-debris filter included; drain built in
The tradeoff

The supplied filter is for general debris. The manual requires different filtration for very fine dust and a VF7000 foam filter for larger liquid pickups; those filters cost extra.

DEWALT’s quiet-focused design combines a 20-foot cord, tank drain and large hose. Its published sound figure is a manufacturer claim, not our measurement.

  • 12-gallon nominal tank; corded power
  • 2-1/2-inch × 7-foot hose; 20-foot cord
  • Washable DXVC6910 cartridge and disposable bag included
The tradeoff

DEWALT claims less than 65 dBA but does not establish a directly comparable measurement here. This is the QT configuration; do not assume QTA packages include the same accessories. Follow its manual for wet filtration.

Check Amazon for the current price of the Cleva/Vacmaster Beast VFB511B 0202 5-gallon; Model Number VFB511B 0202, UPC814953019992, manufacturer Cleva North America; not VFB511H0201/VFB511B0201.

The smaller tank and carry-handle format suit storage-conscious cleanups. This is the newer 0202 configuration with locking accessories, rather than the similarly named 0201.

  • 5-gallon nominal tank; 120V corded
  • 1-7/8-inch × 7-foot hose; 20-foot cord
  • Cartridge, dust bag and foam wet filter included
The tradeoff

Less tank room means more emptying during bulky cleanup. Cleva’s direct page was sold out when checked; an exact-model US listing was available at Hardware World. Confirm the 0202 package before ordering.

The HD1600 adds drum room and a detachable electric blower to a wheeled garage vacuum. It is useful when storage space permits and the blower function would replace a separate light cleanup tool.

  • 16-gallon nominal drum; 120V corded
  • 2-1/2-inch × 7-foot locking hose; 20-foot cord
  • Detachable blower, drain and VF4000 filter
The tradeoff

RIDGID lists 24.5 pounds before collected debris. Its bigger drum takes more room and becomes heavy when loaded. The supplied general-debris filter is not the right setup for every dust or wet job.

A small battery vacuum that connects to PACKOUT storage and includes a six-foot hose, utility nozzle, crevice tool and HEPA filter. It makes most sense for someone already using M18 batteries.

  • 2.5-gallon nominal capacity; M18 battery power
  • 6-foot flexible hose; high/low modes
  • 0970-20 includes no battery or charger
The tradeoff

Budget for the battery and charger if you do not own them. It is a small spot-cleanup tool, not a large-tank substitute. Remove the dry filter for wet pickup; Milwaukee recommends its separately sold 49-90-2015 foam filter.
