Measure the vehicle, then choose the tool

Clear snow from the windows, lights and roof before driving. Follow your vehicle manual and tool instructions; keep grit out of brushes and foam, and use the ice scraper only on approved surfaces. Longer reach does not make climbing on a bumper safe or guarantee roof access. Use the vehicle defroster as directed and choose a tool you can handle from a stable position.

What snow-brush length do I need for an SUV?

Match the tool to the roof and glass you need to reach from a stable position, and check the head width as well as shaft length. As one reference, Snow Joe lists SJBLZD at 33–52 inches with an 18-inch head. Those dimensions do not guarantee access to every SUV roof.

Is a foam snow broom guaranteed not to scratch?

We have not tested scratch resistance and do not make that guarantee. Follow your vehicle and tool instructions, keep the clearing surface free of grit and use the scraper only where approved. A manufacturer’s surface claim is not our independent test.

What should I check before storing a brush in the car?
